Friday, August 14th, 2009Yorkshire’s power stations could claim their first victims under the former of workers that helped build them. Already, many of them have started showing symptoms of asbestosis or mesothelioma, diseases caused solely by asbestos exposure.
When the power stations such as Drax and Eggborough were built asbestos was used for pipe insulation. People that worked using those materials are facing mesothelioma death, and the number of claims is increasing by the month.
Chevron sued by deceased man’s family
Friday, June 19th, 2009The family of the deceased, his wife and son, blame Chevron for the misfortune. The man died from a combination of pulmonary asbestosis and lung cancer, two diseases caused by asbestos. The suit was filed June 12th by the family of Rufus Granger, former employee of Gulf Oil, which is known today as Chevron.
Asbestos exposure claim filed by two former airmen
Wednesday, May 13th, 2009Two former airmen that were stationed in Iraq file a claim towards four companies contracted by defense, stating that thee companies have burned trash containing asbestos materials, toilet waste and toxic plastic bottles. The two airmen claim that they have inhaled smoke from these fires and as a result, their general state of health was compromised.
