  • Delaware – 12 people died because of exposure to asbestos, mortality of 20 per million
  • Florida – 163 deaths associated with mesothelioma, second state in the country, with a mortality rate of 13,4 per million
  • Georgia – 30 died because of mesothelioma, mortality rate of 5 per million
  • Hawaii – only 5 people died because of mesothelioma, with a mortality rate of 5,3 per million
  • Iowa – 21 recorded deaths as a result of mesothelioma, mortality rate of 9,2 per million
  • Idaho – 14 mesothelioma related deaths, mortality rate of 14,5 per million
  • Illinois – 128 people died because of mesothelioma, ranking sixth in the country, with a mortality rate of 13,5 per million

  • Kansas – 27 people died as a result of mesothelioma, with a mortality rate of 13 per million
  • Kentucky – 24 mesothelioma related deaths, mortality rate of 7,6 per million
  • Louisiana – 47 people with mesothelioma died, mortality rate of 13,8 per million
  • Massachusetts – 81 people died because of mesothelioma, ranking ninth in the country by mesothelioma deaths recorded, and with a mortality rate of 16,4 per million
  • Maryland – 51 people died as a result of mesothelioma, with a mortality rate of 12,5 per million
  • Maine – 28 recorded mesothelioma deaths, and a mortality rate of 27,5 per million
  • Michigan – 69 people died because of a form of mesothelioma, mortality rate of 8,9 per million
  • Minnesota – 61 mesothelioma related deaths, with a mortality rate of 16,3 per million
  • Missouri – 49 people died because of mesothelioma, mortality rate of 11,3 per million
  • Mississippi – 20 people died because of mesothelioma, mortality rate is 9,3 per million
  • Montana – 10 mesothelioma related deaths, with a mortality rate of 14,2 per million

  • Vermont – 7 died as a result of mesothelioma, mortality rate of 14,5 per million
  • Washington – 72 recorded deaths caused by mesothelioma, mortality rate of 16 per million
  • Wisconsin – 49 people died because of mesothelioma, with a mortality rate of 12 per million
  • West Virginia – 29 deaths caused by mesothelioma, mortality rate is 19,6 per million
  • Wyoming – only 5 people died because of mesothelioma, one of the smallest numbers in the country, and with a mortality rate of 13,2 per million

Current Mesothelioma Statistics
